APPROVED CONTINUING EDUCATION COURSES AVAILABLE:

A directory of DLI-approved continuing education courses is available on DLI's website at https://secure.doli.state.mn.us/ccldcecourses/

HOW IT WORKS:

On this page the course listings are updated in real-time as they are submitted by sponsors and approved by DLI. Courses are listed by date and more information for each is available by selecting "Details" on the left side of each row. To sort the list by course type (eg: courses for building officials only or those only electricians continuing education credits) or choose how many results are shown, use the drop-down menus near the top of the page and then click "search".

OTHER INFORMATION:

Additional information about continuing education including licensure requirements, continuing education laws and rules, submitting courses for DLI approval and more, is available at http://www.dli.mn.gov/CCLD/CE.asp

QUESTIONS:

For help with questions related to continuing education send an e-mail message to dli.license@state.mn.us

While the Department of Labor and Industry does not approve of any specific study materials, there are reference books available. The test will cover business aspects of residential construction along with current building codes. The Contractor's Reference Manual and current code books are available from the Builders Association of Minnesota.
